TrailerCheck replicates the role of a truck, providing power to a trailer’s electrical systems by means of either the 24S / 24N or ISO 7638 sockets, thereby making it an ideal choice when no tractor unit is available. As Fig. 1 shows, connectivity is via the trailer headboard using the appropriate leads, all of whichare supplied, as standard, with
the TrailerCheck unit.
Once connected, simply switch the TrailerCheck unit on and use the toggle switches to turn each trailer light on or off as required. The ISO 7638 lead will check the trailers’ ABS circuitry for continuity, should there be a fault within the ABS system the ABS warning light on the TrailerCheck fascia panel will come on. Hi and Lo speed CAN lines can also be checked. The condition of these is indicated by a green light on the TrailerCheck panel.
